Welcome to The Spode Society Website
The Spode Society was founded in 1986 to bring together collectors and lovers of Spode, Copeland & Garrett, Copeland and more recent Spode wares in order for members to share the study and enjoyment of the history and products of the Spode factory, its workforce and the Spode and Copeland families.
We would be delighted to welcome new members to join The Spode Society. Rates are quoted on the Join Us page of our website where you will also find a downloadable Membership Application Form. The initial subscription includes the cost of a large ring binder to contain the twice yearly issues of The Review publication, the full colour magazine of the Society. Members are encouraged to contribute to The Review with articles on their research, items in their collections and specialist topics. The Review also contains letters to the Editor, auction reports, matters of general Society news and therefore builds a comprehensive record of Spode throughout its history. You can read a sample copy of The Review here, just Click Onto the Magazine Cover on the Publications page of our website.
We hold an Annual Seminar and AGM in May, alternating between venues in the North/Midlands and in the South/Home Counties. We also arrange visits to public and private collections of ceramics; particularly those with Spode and/or Copeland content.
